Concept Plan

The Army-Navy Memorial will be located within the Cavaliers’ Park at the PMA grounds with an estimate area of 100 square meters.

The Memorial will be at the Center and there will be four smaller edifices at the corners of the Memorial. The Memorial (centerpiece) will honor USMA and USNA alumni who actively participated in the development of the PMA until its initial establishment prior to 1945. The four corners will be built for the four academies (US Military Academy, US Naval Academy, US Coast Guard Academy and US Air Force Academy). Only the alumni who have died and served in the AFP with honor will be recognized in the corners depending on what service academy they attended. Only the full names of the graduates will be placed in the Memorial as they die.

Names to be listed in the four (USMA, USNA, USAFA and USCGA) Memorials will be submitted to J-1 for confirmation as to: (1) Actually having graduated; (2) Having served the mandatory requirement of 8 years except for those retired under CDD; and (3) Separated under honorable conditions. This should be covered by DND or GHQ directive to be enforceable; and (4) Died.
