100 percent for MNSA RC-51

The National Defense College of the Philippines has successfully conducted its annual Commencement Exercise on 2 September 2016 at the College’s Auditorium in Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City.

Breaking the norm of regular classes having casualties before graduation, after a decade of hundred percent drought, the 65 strong admitted members of Regular Course 51 of the Master in National Security Administration program all graduated at the same time, leaving ‘no man behind’ as their class motto.

Honorable Hermogenes C Esperon Jr, Secretary of National Security Council, stood as the Guest of Honor and Speaker (GOHAS) during the said activity. With him on the stage to confer the coveted degrees of the MNSA to the members of the Regular Class 51 were Secretary Delfin N Lorenzana of the Department of National Defense and the College’s Officer-in-Charge Director Rolando G Junco.

The Gold Medal for Academic Excellence were awarded to Engr Natalie Czarina C Daclan (Government Arsenal) and Atty Charmaine A Serna-Chua (Department of Foreign Affairs), the Silver Medal was bestowed to Capt Sumeet Singh Sodhi (Indian Navy), and the Bronze Medal was received by Col Armand M Arevalo (Philippine Army).

NDCP awarded the Gold Medal for Best Thesis to Atty Chaimaine A Serna-Chua (DFA), while two scholars tied for the Silver Medal that were given to Col Consolito P Yecla (Philippine Army) and Capt Sumeet Singh Sodhi (Indian Navy). The Bronze Medal was received by LCdr Carter S Luma-Ang (Philippine Mapping and Resource Information Authority).

The Leadership Award was bestowed to Dr Fabian Go (Grandstar Motors and Industrial Corporation) for successfully leading the class for one whole year, in and out of the classroom as Class President.
