NDCP visits parts of Luzon

Led by NDCP President BGen Archimedes H Viaje AFP (Ret) PhD MNSA, College officials, faculty, staff, and students of the Master in National Security Administration (MNSA) Regular Course (RC) 55 visited select areas in Luzon from 3 to 7 December 2019.
This five-day activity, called the National Security and Development Study (NSDS) 2019, is part of the MNSA program.
The NDCP delegation visited Bataan, Tarlac, Clark and Baguio City.
In Bataan, the delegation visited the Freeport Area in Mariveles, Government Arsenal in Limay, Bataan Nuclear Power Plant in Morong, and the Provincial Capitol in Balanga.
In Tarlac and Clark, NDCP had engagements at the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), the New Clark City, as well as the Northern Luzon Command (NOLCOM).
In Baguio City, the College visited the City Government of Baguio and the Philippine Military Academy (PMA).
The NDCP delegation also met with government officials including Senator Ronaldo dela Rosa, Environment and Natural Resources Secretary Roy Cimatu and Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong.
In line with its mandate to prepare and develop the skills and competence of potential national security leaders, the NDCP conducts the one-year MNSA program. Integral to the MNSA program is the conduct of the NSDS. The NSDS provides a unique opportunity for students to observe how security and development converge at the local level.
The NDCP, one of the bureaus of the Department of National Defense (DND), is the government’s premier institution for education, training and research on defense and national security.
