The officials and personnel of the National Defense College of the Philippines (NDCP) participated in a two-day training on RA 9184, also known as the Government Procurement Reform Act, and its 2016 Revised Implementing Rules and Regulations on 27 – 28 March 2017 at the NDCP Honor Hall.
The said seminar aims to enhance the capacity of NDCP in procurement planning and monitoring and bidding procedures. The activity is in line with the government’s initiative to promote transparency and efficiency in government by strengthening the implementation of RA 9184.
“The NDCP ensures the continuous re-tooling of our personnel on procurement to enhance our capacity to meet the needs of our clientele while promoting transparency in government.” said NDCP President Rear Admiral (Ret) Roberto Q Estioko PhD MNSA.
He said, “The NDCP, as the government’s premier academic institution for defense and national security education, training and research, ascribes great value to capacity-building and value formation activities for our personnel.”
Speakers were Atty Tareeq Yayha Timhar A Radjaie of the Government Procurement Policy Board – Technical Support Office (GPPB-TSO), Ms Juliana G Sunga of the Quezon City Government and Director Maria Estrellita R Reyes of the Office of the President.
