The two GST batches were held on 19-20 July and 26 and 27 July 2018 at the NDCP Honor Hall.
The said GST was conducted by the Women and Gender Institute (WAGI) of Miriam College.
The primary objective of the training was to enhance understanding of basic gender concepts and promote basic skills and approaches in dealing with gender-related issues in the workplace.
Specific topics covered include sex, gender, and sexuality; understanding gender-based violence; anti-sexual harassment and anti-discrimination; and, supporting gender-responsive academic institutions.
Speakers from Ateneo De Manila University (ADMU), Miriam College, and University of the Philippines Diliman shared their insights on various GAD-related topics.
The College has been a strong supporter of GAD. It has been at the forefront of promoting gender equality in the defense community as a positive force in enhancing national security and development.
With the theme “We Make Change Work for Women,” NDCP’s GAD advocacy highlights the constructive role of women in the current administration’s thrust for positive change and inclusive national development.
