NDCP President speaks at the 134th Maritime Forum

The President of the National Defense College of the Philippines (NDCP), Rear Admiral Roberto Q Estioko AFP (Ret), PhD, MNSA delivered a presentation at the 134th Maritime Forum on June 29 at the SMX Convention Center, Manila.
In his presentation, RAdmiral Estioko explored regional maritime security in the Indo-Asia-Pacific.
The theme of the forum was “Protecting and Securing our Maritime Domain”.
Other speakers include Undersecretary Vicente Agdamag of the National Security Council who discussed “Freedom of Navigation and Maritime Security in Sulu Sea” and Undersecretary Eduardo Gongona of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) who spoke on “Philippine Rise and its Relevance to National
Food Security”.
Spearheaded by The Maritime League, the Maritime Forum is a bi-monthly regular discussion where leaders of the maritime industry are invited. Topical papers developed during the sessions are taken up during the Annual World Maritime Forum.
The Maritime League, a Philippine maritime foundation was established in 1991 to advance the interest of the maritime sector. Former NDCP President Commodore Carlos L Agustin AFP (Ret) is the President and Chairman of The Maritime League.
The NDCP is the government’s highest center for education, training and research on defense and national security.
