His Excellency Han Dong-man, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Philippines, was featured at the National Defense College of the Philippines (NDCP) Ambassador Speaks Lecture Series.
The lecture was held on 10 May 2019 at the NDCP Honor Hall, Camp Gen Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City.
In his lecture entitled ‘Vision for Peace in the Korean Peninsula and the Korea-Philippines Relations’, Ambassador Han highlighted the ongoing peace process in the Korean Peninsula and the importance and great impact of the bilateral relations between the Philippines and South Korea.
Philippines and South Korea celebrates 70 years of friendship this year.
Ambassador Han also expressed deep gratitude to the Filipino people, citing the gallantry of Filipino soldiers during the Korean War.
Participants during the lecture include the members of the Master in National Security Administration (MNSA) program Regular Course (RC 54) and representatives from various government agencies, private sector, and the academe.
The NDCP regularly conducts high-level discussions and fora on regional security concerns, such as the Ambassador Speaks Lecture Series.
Now on its 20th year, the Ambassador Speaks Lecture Series aims to forge better understanding and provide opportunities for collaboration on strengthening the link between defense and foreign policy.
Established in 1963, the NDCP is the government’s premier academic institution for education, training and research on national security and defense. The College conducts the one-year MNSA program and other executive courses on national security.
