The Emergency Management Institute of the Philippines of the National Defense College of the Philippines (EMIP-NDCP) in collaboration with the Bureau of Fire Protection-National Capital Region (BFR-NCR), US Agency for International Aid (USAID) and the US-Asia Environmental Partnership (US-AEP) will conduct the Hazardous Materials First Responders Awareness Training on 5-6 May 2005, 8:am -5:pm at the NDCP Honor Hall, Academic Row, Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City. The seminar aims to equip key officers and personnel of the Bureau of Fire Protection-National Capital Region (BFR-NCR) with the proper way of handling and suppressing chemical/hazardous material fires through proper utilization of methods/materials and protective equipment. The seminar seeks to support the implementation of the Chemical and Hazardous Waste Emergency Management Program (CHWEMP).
