The Executive Course on National Security (ECNS) aims to provide participants a comprehensive understanding of the theory and practice of national security. With this general objective, the course is divided into three modules: (1) National Security Theory and Framework, (2) National Security Management and Administration and (3) Integration. The National Security Theory and Framework module provides the foundations, basic concepts, principles and various dimensions of national security.
The National Security Management and Administration module orients participants on the external and internal security situation of the country, introduces methods and techniques in conducting strategic assessments and in formulating corresponding policy decisions and courses of action. Lastly, the Integration Module engages participants in an interactive discussion and workshop to synthesize their learning from the course.
The course is designed for local executives, government officials, military and police officers, and private sector managers. The course is intended to be interactive, analytical, and skill-oriented utilizing a combination of lectures, syndicate discussions and workshops.
