Ms Marie Schröter, the incoming Resident Representative of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) Philippines, a longstanding institutional partner of the National Defense College of the Philippines (NDCP), visited the College on 26 July 2023 to the Philippines.
Ms Schröter was accompanied by the outgoing FES Philippines Resident Representative, Dr Vinzenz Huzel, Program Coordinator Ms Shenna Kim Carisma, and Assistant Program Coordinator Ms Pauline Darroca. NDCP President LtGen Ferdinand M Cartujano PAF (Ret), the Acting Chief of the Research and Special Studies Division Mr Manmar C Francisco, and the members of the Research and Special Studies Division (RSSD) received the FES Philippines delegation.
During the visit, Ms Schröter was briefed about the College and its programs, research agenda, and linkages, as well as the partnership history between FES and NDCP. The institutional partners also talked about the upcoming Security Sector Governance and Reform (SSGR) Workshop and the positive impacts of their joint initiatives through the years, especially the Operational Law (OPLAW) Courses and the SSGR Workshops.
Ms Schröter will assume office in August 2023.
