The delegation from the National Defense College of the Philippines (NDCP) led by the NDCP President LtGen Ferdinand M Cartujano PAF (Ret), together with the members of the Master in National Security Administration (MNSA) Regular Course 58, conducted a field study visit at the DND on 22 May 2023.

DND’s Officer in Charge, Senior Undersecretary Carlito G. Galvez Jr, welcomed and received the NDCP officials and MNSA RC 58 students.

The engagement with the DND is an integral part of the National Security Administration (NSA) 208 Module entitled “Strategy and Military Operations” and led by its Module Director, BGen Joel M Paloma PA. The Module provides an understanding of how states develop and execute their defense and military strategy, which the visit to the DND helped to demonstrate. The visit provided a thorough understanding of the agency’s mandate and functions in relation to dealing with external and internal threats to territorial integrity and sovereignty in order to create a secure and stable environment conducive to national development.
