In its bid to further promote gender and development (GAD) in the workplace, the National Defense College of the Philippines (NDCP) conducted a virtual seminar for its personnel on “Gender-Fair Language” on 8 November 2021.
Ms Stella Eloisa Marquez-Fong of the Women and Gender Institute (WAGI) of Miriam College facilitated the activity, which had participants from NDCP’s faculty, academic, research, and administrative staff.
The virtual seminar was the last in the three-part training series. The first, which was conducted last August 31, was about “Basic GAD Concepts and Issues.” The second, held last October 13, covered “GAD Legal Mandate and Issuances.”
GAD activities, both for internal stakeholders and external audience, are NDCP’s contribution in promoting gender equality in the wider context of peace, security, and development.
