Together with the members of the Master in National Security Administration Regular Class 58 (MNSA RC 58) and Undersecretary Ignacio B Madriaga as DND Observer, the NDCP President, LtGen Ferdinand M Cartujano PAF (Ret), led the Global Security and Development Study (GSDS) on 17-25 June 2023 in Canberra and Sydney, Australia.
With the theme, “Advancing Regional Security through Strategic Cooperation,” the delegation went to various government and non-government institutions in Australia and received briefings and educational tours about how Australia combats maritime threats and pursues national security as a middle power through diplomatic partnerships.
The GSDS is an integral part of the MNSA program which aims to enhance the MNSA scholars’ perspectives on national security by exposing them to first-hand experiences and direct information about other countries’ defense and security forces as well as other factors that shape their strategic environment.
