The National Defense College of the Philippines (NDCP) conducted the Reservists’ Jamboree on 28 July 2023 with GEN ROMEO S BRAWNER JR PA, Chief of Staff, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.
The Reservists’ Jamboree was the very first activity of its kind in line with the 60th Founding Anniversary Celebration of the College. It highlighted the achievements of the NDCP alumni who served as commanders of various reserve brigades of the Philippine Army, Philippine Navy, Philippine Air Force, and the Technical and Administrative Service, AFP. Also, the newly commissioned reserve officers, all from the Master in National Security Administration (MNSA) Regular Class 57, were donned with their ranks. They took their oath afterwards.
The NDCP President, LTGEN FERDINAND M CARTUJANO PAF (RET), encouraged all civilian students of the MNSA Program to join the reserve force.
GEN BRAWNER PA acknowledged the significant contributions of the reservists and emphasized that the AFP, through his leadership, would give priority to the reserve force development in recognition of their part in the development and defense of the country.
Presidential Decree Number 190 (as amended) provides for the commission in the Reserve Force, AFP with the rank of lieutenant colonel/commander of MNSA graduates from the civilian and government sectors.
