In celebration of its 60th Founding Anniversary, the National Defense College of the Philippines (NDCP) conferred awards on its outstanding and loyal employees. DND Secretary Gilberto C Teodoro Jr graced the event held on 11 August 2023 at NDCP.

Ms Gee Lyn Basa and Mr Joshua Carl Bidaure received the Exemplary Supervisor and Exemplary Civilian Employee awards, respectively. The College also awarded Ms Asuncion Manglicmot as the Model Supervisor and Ms Nida Austria as the Model Civilian Employee.

The NDCP also recognized the following employees who have served the College for 10 years, Ms Christine Joy P Fonacier and Ms Maricar S Marisga; 20 years, Ms Corazon G Balaan, Ms Reyma D Cacho, Ms Alicia M Managbanag, and Ms Eileen B Torres; 25 years, Ms Grace Q Banlaoi and Ms Zenaida A Taccaban; 35 years, Mr Marlo A Cabral; and 40 years, Ms Marilyn O Manicsic.

During the Inspirational Message of Secretary Teodoro, he congratulated all the awardees and encouraged the NDCP to undergo a rebirth in terms of its role in national security, with a specific focus on research and faculty. He also invited the NDCP to reach out to younger talents and target audiences in an effort to explore out-of-the-box solutions and approaches to solving the most pressing national security issues.
