The National Defense College of the Philippines (NDCP) underwent and passed the second surveillance audit conducted on 26 November 2020 in accordance with the requirements of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 certification.
The online audit was conducted by the SOCOTEC Certification Philippines, Inc.
The NDCP received its first ISO 9001:2015 certification on 12 December 2018, which covered the conduct of the Master in National Security Administration (MNSA) Program as the College’s main process and its interfacing management and support processes.
SOCOTEC commended the NDCP leadership on its commitment for the continuous implementation of the NDCP Quality Management System (QMS). NDCP was also lauded for using the Trello application for easier access of documents and requirements for audit.
In his remarks, NDCP President BGen Archimedes H Viaje AFP (Ret) PhD MNSA, expressed his gratitude to the audit team for being a part of the QMS journey of the College. BGen Viaje also thanked the QMS Team headed by its Team Leader Dr Theresita V Atienza, who worked hard to continuously observe and implement the NDCP QMS and maintain its ISO 9001:2015 certification. Dr Atienza is the incoming President of Quezon City University.
