The Philippine Center of Excellence in Defense, Development, and Security (PCEDS) under the National Defense College of the Philippines (NDCP) launched a research exhibit on 10 December 2019.

NDCP President BGen Archimedes H Viaje AFP (Ret), PhD, MNSA led the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
With the theme “Kinaadman”, the research exhibit featured select theses of the Master in National Security Administration (MNSA) Regular Classes 53 and 54. Topics covered include maritime security, Philippines-China bilateral relations, peace process, and women, peace and security.
In his remarks, BGen Viaje encouraged the dissemination and use of MNSA theses as inputs to defense and national security policymaking.
“Kinaadman” is a Cebuano word for knowledge and education.
The one-year MNSA program explores the theory and practice of defense and national security. It is open to military officers, government officials, and private sector representatives. Seven foreign military officers are also admitted in each regular class. A thesis, duly approved by a panel, is one of the requirements of the MNSA program.
Established in 2018 under the NDCP, PCEDS is mandated to “address strategic change and security priorities of the country as well as regional and global security challenges through policy-relevant researches on global strategic affairs, particularly as they relate to national security foreign policies”.
The said research exhibit is open for viewing from 10 to 20 December 2019 the NDCP Lobby, Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City.
One of the bureaus of the Department of National Defense (DND), the NDCP is the government’s highest center for education, training and research on defense and national security.
