On this year’s Valentine’s Day, Women of the NDCP, including members of the Master in National Security Administration Regular Course 58 (MNSA RC 58) were serenaded by the President of NDCP, LtGen Ferdinand M Cartujano PAF (Ret), and Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean, Dr Alan A Lachica, at the NDCP Honor Hall, Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo. The Valentine Serenade was a simple celebration for all the women of the College wherein they also received fresh roses and chocolates.
In his closing remarks, LtGen Cartujano said: “Valentine’s Day is often commercially symbolized to be filled with material things, but I hope that most of us have felt that the very essence of Valentine’s Day is love and service to other people. Regardless of what our love language is, whenever we give something to the person we love, it’s always a portion of our time. Hence, whatever kind of love you give or receive today, you will be reminded that time is something precious, something you cannot earn back, and this shows that they love you.”
The Valentine Serenade is the first Valentine’s Day celebration of the College since the pandemic started.
