The National Defense College of the Philippines (NDCP) conducted a virtual seminar for its academic, research, and administrative personnel on “Gender and Development (GAD) Legal Mandates and Issuances” on 13 October 2021.The activity featured the Honorable Maria Lourdes Acosta-Alba, Representative of the First District of Bukidnon and Chair of the House Committee on Women and Gender Equality.The virtual seminar was the second in the three-part training series. The first, which was conducted last August 31, was about “Basic GAD Concepts and Issues.” The topic of the third seminar is “Gender-Fair Education.”GAD activities, both for internal stakeholders and external audience, are NDCP’s contribution in promoting gender equality in the wider context of peace, security, and development.
