The NDCP’s Master in National Security Administration (MNSA) Regular Class (RC)-58 and the rest of the NDCP delegation, headed by the NDCP President LtGen Ferdinand M Cartujano PAF (Ret), conducted a study visit at the Philippine Navy Headquarters on 18 May 2023.
Philippine Navy Vice Commander RAdm Caesar Bernard N Valencia PN welcomed and received the NDCP officials and MNSA RC 58 students.
The engagement with the Philippine Navy provided an opportunity for the MNSA RC 58 students to learn the purpose and duties of the Philippine Navy in protecting the country’s sovereignty and upholding its sovereign rights in the West Philippine Sea.
Furthermore, LtGen Ferdinand M Cartujano PAF (Ret) had a brief discussion with The Flag Officer in Command of the Philippine Navy VAdm Toribio Adaci Jr PN and newly appointed commandant of the Philippine Marine Corps (PMC) MGen Arturo G Rojas PN (M).
The said visit is part of the series of Field Study Visits of the NSA 208 Strategy and Military Operations Module led by BGen Joel M Paloma PA, the Module Director. The Module provides an understanding of how states develop and execute their defense and military strategy. It aims to discuss the role of the strategic environment, objectives (ends), concepts (ways), and resources (means) in strategy formulation.
