Officials and staff of the National Defense College of the Philippines (NDCP) welcomed its newly installed President, BGen Archimedes H Viaje AFP (Ret), PhD, MNSA, at a General Assembly at the Honor Hall today.

BGen Viaje is the 20th NDCP President.
In his first speech as President, BGen Viaje reminded all personnel to know their job and do it to the best of their ability.
He emphasized the importance of being ready, willing and able to do their job.
He said, “Dapat tayo ay handa, kusa at mayroong kakayahan na gampan ang ating trabaho”.
He also reiterated the need to nurture the concept of family. He said, “The NDCP is a family. We are one family”.
BGen Viaje is no stranger to NDCP. He is a member of the Master in National Security Administration (MNSA) Regular Class 48. He also served as Chief of the Military Affairs and Strategy Division (MASD) and Chief of Staff to the President, NDCP.
Established in 1963, the NDCP is the government’s highest center for education, training and research on defense and national security.
