The National Defense College of the Philippines (NDCP) held its Conferment Ceremony for its Master in National Security Administration Regular Class 57 (MNSA RC-57) at the Armed Forces of the Philippines Commissioned Officers’ Country (AFPCOC) on 14 September 2022.
The graduates of the MNSA RC-57, which commenced on 08 October 2021, is composed of sixty-four (64) military officers from the AFP and allied countries such as Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Nigeria; officials from the national and local government and a constitutional commission; as well as selected executives from the private sector.
The Conferment Ceremony was graced by the Officer-in-Charge of the Department of National Defense, Senior Undersecretary Jose C. Faustino, Jr., as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. In his inspirational message, Senior Undersecretary Faustino, Jr., congratulated and encouraged the graduates to apply their learnings from the MNSA Program in addressing their respective countries’ defense and national security challenges. In particular, he challenged the graduates to take the lead in the realization of the DND’s 10-Point Agenda as newly minted national security administrators.
NDCP’s distinguished alumna, Senate President Pro Tempore Loren B. Legarda of the MNSA RC-27 gave a video special message to the graduates where she highlighted the crucial role that the graduates shall play in the country’s pursuit of peace and security for the betterment of the lives of Filipinos and of the peoples of the Philippines’ allied countries.
The ceremony is NDCP’s first face-to-face graduation activity since the pandemic.
